Jackie Sherman

Jackie Sherman is in her second season as an assistant coach with the Raider women’s lacrosse team. During her first year with the team, Sherman coached Colgate’s defensive unit which finished the season ranked 17th in the nation with 8.75 goals allowed per game.

Sherman arrived in Hamilton after completing a four-year playing career at Penn State. She served as team captain as a senior, and was named to the American Lacrosse Conference’s all-academic team. Sherman was also active on Penn State’s Student Athlete Advisory Board.

While at Penn State, Sherman gained coaching experience by working at the Nittany Lions’ lacrosse camps where she taught fundamental lacrosse skills to children ages 10-17.

Sherman started her coaching career in her hometown of Wilton, Conn., where she worked as a recreational sports coach when she was in high school. Sherman coached basketball and soccer, in addition to lacrosse, for children ages 8-15.
Sherman graduated from Penn State in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She received dean’s list recognition for her accomplishments in her coursework over her last 60 credits.
