Biography

Sophomore Year (2013): Was the top finisher for Colgate in the first two meets of the season, Colgate's Harry Lang Invitational and Iona College's Meet of Champions in New Rochelle, N.Y. Ran 16:18.40 in the Harry Lang Invitational to finish the 4,200 meter race in 10th place. Ran a 23:19.92 over the course of 6,000 meters to finish 12th overall at Iona's Meet of Champions. Did not compete the rest of the season due to injury...Named the team's Outstanding Performer and to the Raider and Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Freshman Year (2012): Was the Raiders top finisher in all six races...Had a season-best 5th place finish at the Patriot League Championships, where she was named PL Rookie of the Year...Overall tallied four top-10 finishes at the Harry Lang Invitational, Minuteman Invitiational, Leopard Invitational and the PLC...Ran the Harry Lang Invite in a time of 16:15 to earn her first Female Rookie of the Week honor on Sept. 3...Notched another Rookie of the Week accolade after her 6th-place finish at the Minuteman Invite...Tied a League record for Rookie of the Week honors when she earned her third of the season on Oct. 15, following her 8th place finish out of 143 runners at the Leopard Invite...Her time of 21:23.1, which earned her 64th place out of 250 runners at the NCAA Northeast Region Cross Country Championships was the fastest ever recorded by a freshman at Colgate, beating the previous record of 21:50.63, set in 2007...Named to the 2012 All-Patriot League First Team.

Before Colgate: Olivia was a letterwinner in cross country and indoor and outdoor track at Weston High School, and captained all three teams her senior year. As captain, Olivia led her team to Second Place in the Massachusetts State Championships. Olivia was a Dual-County League All-Star in XC, indoor, and outdoor track, and received Boston Globe All-Scholastic and Boston Herald All-Scholastic honors for her 2011 cross-country season. In addition she won the Joseph Naughton Award and Scholarship, Weston's Outstanding Runner in multiple seasons, and holds her high school's records in the indoor 1 mile, and outdoor 2 mile. She was also a member of Weston's National Honor Society, Amnesty International, and the lacrosse team.

Personal: Olivia was born in Boston, Mass. to Russell Brackett and Cristy Ballou Brackett on February 13, 1994. She has three brothers.
