Rebecca Veninsky was named an assistant coach for the Colgate women's rowing program in August 2021.
Veninsky joins the Raiders after a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Wesleyan. While in Middletown, Connecticut, Veninsky also served as the Head Coach of Central Connecticut Rowing.
In 2019-20, Veninsky helped guide Wesleyan to its third consecutive Little Three title and a fourth place overall finish at the NCAA Championships, marking their best finish in program history at the national regatta.
Veninsky began coaching in the fall of 2017, when she started her appointment at Cascadilla Boat Club in Ithaca, N.Y. Through this program, she coached the varsity high school team and instructed various age groups in the 'learn to row' platform.
Also serving as the assistant coordinator for the athletic and wellness department at the Ithaca City School District, Veninsky facilitated scheduling, department meetings, and a youth leadership initiative.
A 2017 graduate of Ithaca, Veninsky received her bachelor of arts in environmental studies and documentary film studies and production. She also completed her Masters in Liberal Arts at Wesleyan University in 2021.
