Nikki Flores

Nikki Flores joined the Colgate women's basketball staff this past summer as an assistant coach.

The Marist College graduate arrived at Colgate after spending the previous three seasons as assistant coach at Holy Family, a Division II school in Philadelphia. Prior to that, Flores served in the same capacity for one season at Division III Norwich in Vermont.

Flores had a highly decorated four-year playing career at Marist. In her senior season, Flores was tabbed as an All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference second-team selection. She was co-captain, averaging 9.7 points and 3.2 assists in 35 games. As a freshman in 2005, Flores was selected to the MAAC All-Rookie team. Flores ended her career as a three-time member of the MAAC All-Academic (2006-08) and All-Tournament (2005, 2006, 2008) squads.

The Montvale, N.J., native helped the Red Foxes win four MAAC regular season titles and three conference tournament championships. Flores was a member of a senior class that compiled 102 victories and made three NCAA tournament appearances, including a memorable Sweet 16 run in 2006-07. Flores scored 907 points during her career, which spanned a then-school record 128 games. She also completed her career as the school's all-time free-throw percentage leader at 80.9 and was third in free throws made with 305.

In 2008, Flores earned her bachelor's degree in history/adolescent education from Marist.
