Mahogany Green was named to Colgate's assistant coaching position in May 2016.
Green's coaching career began at Eastern Michigan in 2004. She coached three seasons there before one-year stints at IPFW and Eastern Kentucky. Green spent four seasons on the bench at Central Michigan before a three-year stay at Kansas from 2012-15. She arrived at Colgate after one season at Loyola Chicago.

While in the Sunflower State, Green was part of the coaching staff that led the Kansas Jayhawks to two straight appearances in the NCAA Sweet 16 and a pair of 20-win seasons. Green worked directly with Angel Goodrich and helped the guard to All-Big 12 First Team honors and an All-America Honorable Mention selection by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association prior to being drafted by the Tulsa Shock as the 29th overall pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft.

Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Green put together an outstanding playing career at Cleveland State. She twice was named All-Midwestern Collegiate Conference (now Horizon League) and twice named team MVP. She capped her career as a senior by leading the squad in scoring, rebounding and assists, and highlighted by a 37-point scoring effort against conference foe Detroit.

She went on to play professionally for one season in Turkey before returning to Cleveland State as a graduate assistant. Green earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2002 from Cleveland State before completing a master's degree in Sport Management & Sport Psychology during her time in at Central Michigan in 2012.

Green is the proud parent of a daughter, Kennedy Janea Green-Eddie.
