Candice Green ’12 was promoted by Colgate head coach Bill Cleary to an assistant coaching position in April 2016. She spent her first season in 2015-16 as Colgate’s Director of Basketball Operations.
The former Raiders basketball letterwinner manages the team’s social media accounts while also handling all responsibilities with the Synergy video scouting and ARMS recruiting programs.
Green came back to Colgate from the advanced player instructional field, where she worked with Nothing But Skills Player Development and Hoop Group. Nothing But Skills had more than 200 players participate in 2015, with 26 graduating to Division I programs, while Hoop Group is the largest instructional basketball program in the country.
Green was a two-year team captain who played in 111 career games for the Raiders with 91 starts. She finished her playing days with 271 assists and made 93 3-pointers to reach Colgate’s all-time top-10 in both categories.
The East Brunswick, New Jersey, native graduated from Colgate with a degree in neuroscience. She lives in Hamilton.
"I am truly honored to be continuing my coaching career at Colgate," Green said. "I have a fondness for this place that really can't be put into words. I've known Vicky and Ann-Marie since I've played here, and I'm so thankful for the chance they and Coach Cleary have given me.
"The future of Colgate Women's Basketball is bright, and I'm so proud to be a part of it."
