Season Highlights: Stellar freshman season for the Maroon and White…led team in games played (19), goals (4), points (11), shots (43), and shots on goal (21)…three of his four goals came on penalty kicks…finished 3-for-3 from the PK stripe…tallied first collegiate goal in second game of the season at Oregon State (Sept. 1)…netted game winner in 71st minute of 1-0 win over Monmouth (Sept. 15)…blasted game-winning marker in overtime on penalty kick against Navy (Nov. 2) to help Raiders lock up a Patriot League Tournament berth…scored Colgate’s opening goal in regular season finale at Holy Cross (Nov. 6)…assisted on both goals in 2-2 draw against eventual Ivy League champion Yale (Sept. 8)…repeated as Patriot League Rookie of the Week (Sept. 9, 16) and earned three Rookie of the Week honors total as a freshman.
Before Colgate
Fischer was an Ohio All-State selection at New Albany after scoring 15 goals and adding 20 assists in his senior season. He received First Team All-District recognition as a two-year varsity captain. Fischer also played club soccer for the Ohio Premier, where he helped lead his age-group teams to three Ohio state championships in 2011, 2012, and 2018. Fisher captains his Ohio Premier team, who will be competing in the USYSA National Championships this summer.
