Colgate University Athletics

Noah Moran is in his first year as assistant swimming and diving coach.

Before arriving at Colgate University, he coached at Eastern Michigan University for seven years after serving as a volunteer coach for ten years prior to that. 

In his first year, the men’s and women’s team both won the Mid-American Conference title, a first in the history of the program.  EMU finished in first place in the Mid-American Conference all but one year with the men’s team.

In total, Moran helped the Eagles to win 12 MAC Conference titles as a swimmer and coach. As a swimmer, Moran competed for five years under Coach Linn.  A four-time conference qualifier, he swam the butterfly and backstroke events. He qualified for the championship finals of the 200 Butterfly in all four of his years for the Eagles.  During his time as a swimmer, the EMU Eagles won four Mid-American Conference Championships and were 32-13 in competition overall while posting a 21-3 mark in conference competition. 

Moran completed his bachelor’s degree with a double major in political science and communications in 1997.  He also has a J.D. from the University of Detroit-Mercy and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
