Karine Senécal

Senécal is in her second season as an assistant coach for the Raiders. She came to Colgate last season after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Maine since 2007. While at Maine her duties included recruiting players, coordinating team travel, working with players individually, game management and organizing community service activities, to name a few. She was also the director of the UMaine summer ice hockey camp and youth clinics.

Prior to her position at Maine,
Senécal was an assistant coach for the Quebec Provincial Tournament team in 2004. She also has experience as a camp coach at UMaine men’s hockey camps, the Toronto Prospect Camp, the Shaskechewan Showcase, the Brebeuf Euro Elite Hockey Camp and the USA Maine Hockey Camp.

A 2007 graduate of the University of Maine, Senécal earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and physical education before later completing her master’s degree in exercise science in 2009. During her four years as an undergraduate, Senécal was a member of the women’s ice hockey team at Maine where she earned Hockey East Academic honors among other awards.
