Graphic Design

Description: Work with the Colgate Athletics Creative Media team to create high-quality graphics. Interns will be given projects each day they report to the office. Projects may include, but are not limited to, game day graphics, award nominations, career milestones, and marketing events.

Photography

Description: Work with the Colgate Athletics Communications and Creative Media department to assist in photography coverage, including but not limited to photo/video shoots, studio interviews, games, and special events. This internship, which does not require in-office responsibilities, includes managing assets and editing photos for Colgate athletics website, social media, and various external mediums. Please note it is strongly recommended that you provide your own equipment.

Creative Video

Description: Share the stories of the student athletes across the 25 athletic programs here at Colgate and gain hands-on experience planning, shooting, and editing unique content right from the sideline of our Division I athletic contests for the Colgate athletics website and social media. Work with Colgate Athletics Communications and Creative Media team to create hype gifs, creative videos, postgame highlights, video shoots, and more!

Live Video Production

Description: Students interested in live video production are encouraged to apply for this internship, which assists in all areas of gameday production in the control room. All sporting events are broadcast on ESPN+ and produced on campus, most featuring multi-camera shoots. This position will report to the multimedia coordinator, Patrick Cosgrove, and abide by ESPN+, Patriot League, and ECAC Hockey policies for broadcasting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to production and direction of live sporting events, camera operation, instant replay, and live graphics.

Communications

Description: The communications internship provides the opportunity to learn what Division I athletics communications entails by completing in-office hours as well as game day event hours. Interns will assist the communications and creative media full-time staff members with day-to-day responsibilities of the job including: social media, website management, press releases, game notes, stats, media relations, research and more. Students will have the opportunity to work with several different sports in the office as well as work games for a wide variety of sports that Colgate offers. Interns will learn the skills needed to work in the industry while utilizing different platforms such as InDesign, Photoshop, PremierePro, Genius, Sidearm, and more.
