Football Tailgating Policies

Colgate Athletics promotes a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all spectators and fans. Please adhere to the following guidlelines for pre-game, in-game, and post-game tailgating at Colgate football games:
 
ANDY KERR STADIUM (Gate 1)
1.) You must have a maroon parking pass (Maroon Council) for admission to this lot. For more information or to join the Maroon Council, click HERE.
2.) Gate 1 opens three (3) hours prior to kickoff. 
3.) Your parking pass entitles you to one (1) parking space. Please set up your tables, chairs, tents, and/or coolers at your parking space only. 
4.) Tailgating is allowed during the following times:
         - From three (3) hours before kickoff through the first five (5) minutes of the first quarter
         - During halftime through the first five (5) minutes of the third quarter.
         - For up to (1) hour after the conclusion of the game.
5.) Glass bottles, kegs, and/or excessive quantities of alcohol are not permitted.
COLLEGE STREET & TYLER'S FIELD LOTS (Gates 2 & 3)
1.) Vehicles with a green, blue, or yellow pass are admitted for free to these lots. Game-day parking in these lots (for vehicles without seaosn passes) is $5 for cars and $10 for RVs. RVs must park in the designated RV area within each lot.
2.) Gates 2 and 3 open three (3) hours prior to kickoff. 
3.) Your parking pass entitles you to one (1) parking space. Please set up your tables, chairs, tents, and/or coolers at your parking space only. Your parking pass does not guarantee you a spot on game day, as there is a limited number of parking spaces.
4.) Tailgating is allowed during the following times:
         - From three (3) hours before kickoff through the first five (5) minutes of the first quarter
         - During halftime through the first five (5) minutes of the third quarter.
         - For up to (1) hour after the conclusion of the game.
5.) Glass bottles, kegs, and/or excessive quantities of alcohol are not permitted.

PLEASE NOTE: In the event of snow, heavy rain, and/or standing water, Gate 2 may be closed on game day.
 
All parking lots are patrolled by Colgate Campus Safety and Event Staff to ensure the safety of all fans. Campus Safety and Event Staff have the right to refuse any patron admission to a game if he/she is intoxicated and/or causing a major distraction to the event.
