Before Colgate
Nakamoto was a four-year member of the varsity soccer program at Waldwick High School…she notched 14 goals and 19 assists during her high school career including three goals and eight assists as a senior….helped the team win North 1, Group 1 Sectional Championship and Bergen County Invitational Tournament Championship (2022)…was a two-time first team All-League selection (2020-21, 2022-23)…earned Sectional Recognition and Group 1 Third Team All-State honors and was also named North 1 Top 20 (2020-21)…named MVP Standout in the quarterfinals of the state tournament…was nominated for Freshman of the Year, Sophomore of the Year, and Junior of the Year…earned Defender of the Week honors as a senior…played club soccer for World Class FC of the ECNL since 2013…Nakamoto earned New England First Team All-Conference (2021) and was also selected to the National Selection Game (2022)...helped the team win the conference championship in 2018 and 2019…was chosen as team captain (2020-21)…in the classroom, Nakamoto was a member of the National Honor Society…was also involved in Student Council, Global Awareness Club, and Minds Over Matter Club.

Family: Daughter of Noriko and Tatsuya Nakamoto…has one sister Hiroo and two brothers Tokio and Rikuo.
 
On Choosing Colgate
"I chose Colgate because of the instant connection I felt with the coaching staff as well as the overall campus culture. The Colgate women's soccer coaches are one of the easiest people to talk to and it's very clear that they care about and have so much respect for their players. I also found the idea of being coached by an all-female coaching staff very intriguing. Not only that, but as soon as I stepped on campus, I immediately felt welcomed and at home. It was such a comfortable atmosphere and it made me realize that Colgate offers the exact environment I want to be in as a student-athlete."
