Before Colgate
Poppinga attended West End Secondary School where she played two seasons of varsity soccer, serving as team captain both years…she  helped the team reach the league semifinals as a senior…played three years of club soccer for the Player's Development Academy…Poppinga was named New England All-Conference First Team (2021) and New England All-Conference Second Team (2022)…she helped the team reach the ECNL National Playoffs twice, including a trip to the quarterfinals during the 2021 season….academically Poppinga earned the AP Scholar Award twice…was also involved in Green Team and Cooking for a Cause.
