Raiders Open Indoor Track Season

Colgate competes in Ithaca and Boston

HAMILTON - Colgate's indoor track and field teams opened their seasons in two meets this past weekend. The Cornell Greg Page Relays took place on Friday and Saturday and the Sharon Colyear Danville Season Opener was held on Saturday.

Cornell Greg Page Relays

WOMEN


Junior Elizabeth Manly placed ninth in the women's 800m pentathlon, finishing with a time of 2:48.03. Manly also finished sixth overall in the women's 60m hurdles with a time of 9.63 seconds, had a high jump of 1.29m and long jump of 4.69m and shot put throw of 8.37m.

Women's Mile
Ashley Crane secured second place in the women's mile, crossing the finish line at 5:16.00. First-year Emma Bergfalk finished fifth in 5:25.78, followed by Juliet Drury in sixth at 5:28.34 and Linden Cafcules right after at 5:29.02. 

Women's 1000m
Chloe Schiller and Bella Toscano secured second and third podium finishes. Schiller finished with a time of 3:05.91, and Toscano followed 12 seconds later at 3:18.07. 

Women's 3000m
Ava Kletti was the top finisher for the Raiders in the women's 3000m, crossing the finish line with a time of 10:41.82.

Women's 4x800m
Colgate was beaten out by Cornell's A and B relay teams, placing third with an overall time of 9:58.19.

Women High Jump
Kiran George placed second in the women's high jump with a leap of 1.65m.

Women's Pole Vault
Senior Julianna Hallyburton was the Raiders top finisher in the women's pole vault, posting a leap of 3.09m.

Women's Weight Throw
Samantha Pellerin finished 14th overall with a throw of 11.29m.

MEN

Men's 1000m

First-year Henry Gaylord secured a second-place finish in the men's 100m with a time of 2:39.22. Jack Gabrielle and Joshua Myers crossed fourth and fifth, respectively.

Men's 500m
Will Terry logged a fifth place finish in the men's 500m.

Men's 3000m
Max Kahn broke into the top-five of the men's 3000m with a fourth place finish of 8:52.49. Dylan DeCicco and Samuel Ash finished next at sixth and seventh, respectively, with Roman Steis crossing after in eighth.

Men's 4x800m
The Raiders cleared the rest of the field in the men's 4x800m relay by ten seconds, finishing with an overall time of 8:18.72.

Jed Guenthner finished 27th in the men's 60m dash with a time of 7.28 seconds. Guenthner also had a jump of 6.14m in the men's long jump.

Junior Jeff Groth took home a first-place finish for the Raiders in the men's 200m dash, finishing with a time of 22.87 seconds. Marcus Chu placed 15th in the men's 300m dash with Samual Heaven placing 19th shortly after. Jed Guenthner finished 27th in the men's 60m dash with a time of 7.28 seconds.

Joel Douzanis placed seventh with a throw of 14.16m followed by Christian Radic's score of 10.20m. Douzanis and Radic also had throws of 8.97 and 11.36m, respectively, in the men's weight throw.

Sharon Colyear Canville Season Opener 

Men's 1 Mile Run

Dakin Ebmeyer represented Colgate in the men's one mile run. Ebmeyer finished with a time of 4:09.59, placing 27th out of 68 competitors.

Men's 3000m Run
Senior John Griffith placed 85th in the men's 3000m run out of 124 competitors, with Will Keiser placing 96th.

Women's 3000m Run
Annie Reilly crossed the line with a time of 10:32.33 in the women's 3000m run.

UP NEXT
The Raiders return to action on Jan. 10, 2026 as they head back to Ithaca, N.Y. for the Southern Tier Invite.
