HAMILTON – Great weather, camaraderie, and competition were highlights of Colgate's 40th Annual Alumni Golf Tournament at Seven Oaks Golf Club July 14-16.
For more than thirty years the Colgate Alumni Golf Tournament has brought alumni, family, and friends of Colgate Golf back to Hamilton for a wonderful summer weekend. This event plays a critical role in meeting its annual fundraising goals.
More than 90 alumni and friends returned for this year's event. The course was in top shape and thankfully the weather held out, for the most part, despite some threatening forecasts.
"It's been such a pleasure to support this event from my alumni relations and athletics fundraising & engagement seats over the years," said senior associate director for athletics fundraising and engagement Kate Saeger.
"The commitment and enthusiasm among the tourney's annual participants is truly special, and the support their participation provides for the golf program each year is critical. This 40th iteration of the Annual Alumni Golf Tournament was bittersweet in closing out Coach Tyburski's tenure as head coach at Colgate, and the affection and well wishes for him from the field was palpable. I know I speak for everyone in expressing gratitude to Keith for being such a wonderful steward of Colgate Golf and this tournament throughout his tenure."

Next year's tournament is tentatively set for July 12-14, 2024.
