Colgate Continues League Championship

The Raiders fell to eighth and 10th place on the third day of the tournament

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Colgate Swim and Dive completed the third day of the 2023 Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championships at Bucknell University.

Junior Jordan Hurt and the women's 200-yard freestyle relay placed seventh to highlight to Raiders on the third day of the tournament. Hurt came in just a few seconds shy of sixth place in the 100-yard butterfly finishing at 55.52 seconds. Elizabeth Rainey, Brooke Garretson, Audrey Collins, and Hurt made up the seventh-place quartet that came in at 1:34.43, .8 seconds faster than the nearest relay.

Freshman Ryan Jee grabbed a 13th-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly for the men, coming in at 48.98 seconds.

Garretson placed individually in the 200-yard freestyle finishing in 10th place at 1:50.35.

First-year Regan Hau claimed 16th place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 1:05.60.

The 200-yard freestyle relay closed out the day. The relay of Jee, Cooper Luedde, Emmet Santry, and Jack Lira placed ninth at 1:24.32 to go along with the women's seventh-place finish.

The women currently hold eighth place with 150.5 points going into the last day of the tournament, while the men fell to 10th place with 85.5 points.

Navy leads the championships, followed by Army and Bucknell for both the women and the women. The Mids ended the day with 543.5 points for the women and 627.5 points for the men. The Black Knights are closely behind with 400.5 points for their women's squad and 594.5 for their men's team, while the Bison have 324.5 points (women) and 366.5 points (men).

The 2023 Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championships concludes on Saturday, with the preliminary round starting at 10 a.m. and the final round commencing at 6 p.m. inside Kinney Natatorium.
