HAMILTON – Colgate Swimming and Diving gears up for the 2023 Swim and Dive Patriot League Championships in Lewisburg, Pa., hosted by Bucknell University on Wednesday, Feb. 15, till Saturday, Feb. 18.

The Raiders are coming off a season with many highlights, including a sweep over Hamilton College back on Dec. 9, 2022. Colgate won 24 events in the meet, with the women winning 198-98 and the men 152-110. The win for the men's squad was the first victory since the 2019-20 season.

Earlier in the season, the women won back-to-back dual meets on Oct. 28-29, 2022, against Binghamton and Lafayette. The win over the Bearcats snapped a five-meet skid against Binghamton.

First-years held the spotlight at Colgate's mid-season meet at the West Virginia Invitational as freshman Ryan Jee broke a team and personal record in the 200-yard breaststroke coming in at 2:05.19. The quartet of Jee, Matt Freund, Jack Lira, and Matthew Szypula smashed the freshman record in the 400-yard relay with a final time of 3:06.63 in the Invitational as well.
