PROVIDENCE, R.I. – JD Suarez's finish in the 200-yard backstroke highlighted the evening for the Colgate men's swimming & diving team Sunday at Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics in the final day of the Bruno Invite.

Suarez earned a fourth place time in the event when he touched the wall in 1:47.93. The effort helped the Raiders with 15 team points, as they eventually finished fifth on the weekend with a final total of 290 points. Brown, who hosted the event, won the team event, while Georgetown and Binghamton followed in second and third respectively.
Jack Schurtz-Ford had the other top-10 individual finish on the day for the Raiders. He claimed 10th in the 100-yard freestyle when he swam the race in a time of 45.45, which was an improvement of .60 from his prelim time.
A trio of Raiders earned top-15 times in the 200-yard fly.
Scott Pejic led that group with his time of 1:52.77 to claim 11th.
Matt Freund was just behind him in 12th with his showing of 1:53.07 and
Timothy Brooks was 14th when he reached the wall in 1:54.95.
The team of Pejic, Andrew Hicks, Brooks and Schurtz-Ford had the best relay time of the day for the Raiders. They swam the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:07.27 for eighth place in the race.

Colgate does not return to competition until December 8 when it travels to Clinton, N.Y. to face local rival, Hamilton. Start time is set for 6 p.m.
