Colgate Rowing Fall Schedules Announced

Men and Women Kick Off Fall Season Saturday

HAMILTON – The Colgate men's and women's rowing teams have announced their 2022 fall schedules.

The fall season gets underway this weekend when the men's and women's rowing programs compete in the Founders Cup hosted by Hamilton College in Rome, N.Y, on Saturday, Sept. 24. The women are set to compete in five events this fall, while the men have four on tap.

Head coach Jessica Deitrick enters her fourth season at the helm with high hopes for her incoming freshmen class. Deitrick announced the hiring of assistant coach Theresa Alessio in August, a graduate of Syracuse University with collegiate coaching experience.

The Raiders will compete in five regattas this fall. Colgate opens the season racing against Hamilton and Ithcaca at the Founders Cup in Rome, N.Y. on Saturday. The Raiders then travel to Rochester, N.Y., for the Head of the Genesee Oct. 8. Colgate competes at the Head of the Charles in Boston Oct. 22, before concluding the fall at the Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga, N.Y. , on Oct. 29.

2022 Fall Schedule

Colgate is coming off a successful year that saw the Raiders notch a 20th place finish at the IRA National Championship Regatta. Head coach Khaled Sanad enters his 23rd year leading a Raiders team that also picked up victories at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship and the Knecht Cup Regatta last season.

Colgate begins the fall campaign at the Founders Cup in Rome, N.Y. on Saturday, Sept. 24. The Raiders do not compete again until Oct. 21 when they travel to Boston for the Head of the Charles. It's then off to Philadelphia for the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Oct. 29. The Raiders wrap up the fall at the Princeton Chase Nov. 6.
