Â
Jordan Belfiori: Defensive Coordinator / Outside Linebackers Coach
"Jordan has a great defensive mind. He's coached multiple positions throughout his career, includingÂ
both linebackers and defensive backs during his time at Colgate, so that versatility as a coach allows him to connect with all levels of our defense. I'm excited about his vision for our defense. He's worked very hard to build a scheme that matches what he is the most passionate about and believes in the most, but also plays well into our personnel. I'm excited to see the defense grow and develop under his leadership."
Â
Doug McFadden: Defensive Backs Coach / Pass Game Coordinator
"Doug has an awesome track record of developing talented and productive defensive backfields. He has coached in multiple defensive schemes, so that experience will be a great addition to our defensive staff room. The ability to adapt scheme to personnel is something Doug has done a great job of over the years, so as we're building our defense moving forward, we can tap into that experience as we're always trying to put our guys in the best positions to be successful."Â
Â
Josh Ison: Inside Linebackers / Special Teams Coordinator
"Between playing and coaching, the majority of Josh's football experience has been at the Inside Linebacker position. Josh came in as our Special Teams Coordinator in 2018, along with taking over as Defensive Line Coach. Last year, we were able to move him to outside linebackers, where he did a great job, and now making him the ILB coach brings him back to a position that he knows best. Over the years, Josh has gained a lot of experience and knowledge while coaching that position in a variety of defensive schemes. I know our players will benefit from his passion for that position."
Â
Ray Hunter: Defensive Line
"We're very fortunate to continue to have
Ray Hunter coach our defensive line. Ray is one of the best young defensive line coaches in the business. Ray arrived in July, just before the season started, so having him here for an entire year, to work with and develop a very talented DL room, is a great thing for Colgate Football."
Â
Ameer Riley: Cornerbacks
"Ameer's experience as a DB's coach, along with his experience as a student-athlete here at Colgate, has been a great addition to the staff since he's arrived on campus. His passion for the game and this program can be felt by everyone on the team. Last year, Ameer arrived right as our spring COVIDÂ season was kicking off, so with this being his first real spring practice with us, we're excited for him to have the time to work with and develop our corners over the next 15 practices."
