 PRINCETON, N.J. — The Colgate men's rowing team wrapped up its fall season at the Princeton Chase Sunday with six boats hitting the water for the three-mile race.
 
The Raiders had two boats compete in the heavyweight 8+ race, with the varsity eight notching a 10th-place finish, logging a time of 13: 51.557. Colgate beat out boats from Navy, Princeton, and Syracuse while finishing just two seconds behind crews from Drexel and Penn. This is the second year in a row that the varsity eight has placed 10th at the event.
 
Colgate's second varsity eight came in 35th place, posting a time of 15:13.382 and narrowly beating out a boat from St. Joseph's.
 
The Raiders' varsity four crossed the finish line in 15:49.487, narrowly beating Princeton to earn 35th place. Coming in just one spot behind it was the second varsity four boat, which posted a time of 15:50.344. It defeated boats from Georgetown, St. Joseph's, and La Salle.
 
Also competing was the varsity quad, which posted a time of 14:42.931. Colgate had the third fastest time in the event defeating one of Cornell's boat and finishing just behind the Big Red's other boat as well as Princeton.
 
The final event of the day was the varsity pair, which finished in 16:58.190. The boat earned fifth place after beating out boats from Marist and Princeton.
