RESULTS
PHILADELPHIA — The Colgate men's rowing team competed at the Head of the Schuylkill Saturday, with the Raiders' varsity eight boat placing second out of 15 crews.
The Varsity Eight posted a time of 11:10.860, coming in just two seconds behind the winning boat from Drexel. The Raiders outlasted boats from Temple, Georgetown, and La Salle to earn the silver medal.
Colgate also competed in the Club Eights race, coming in fifth out of 35 boats with a time of 11:44.197. The Raiders defeated crews from Delaware and St. Joseph's and came in slightly behind Drexel and Temple.
The Varsity Four boat earned a fourth-place result after crossing the finish line in 12:59.373. The Raiders beat out boats from Drexel, George Washington, and St. Joseph's in the race, coming in over five seconds ahead of them.
Colgate's Novice Four took 14th place, logging a time of 16:03.324. The boat came in just ahead of Franklin & Marshall and Villanova.
