Colgate Athletics Issues Updated Spectator Policy

Revisions to fan policy go into effect Feb. 1

Revised Update for Feb. 1
As of February 1, all spectators aged 5 and older will be required to present proof of full vaccination or a negative test for entry to indoor athletics events. Madison County has declared that full vaccination includes proof of a booster shot for those 12 years of age and older. Those who do not have proof of full vaccination must present:
  • a positive COVID-19 test, dated between 14 and 90 days prior to the start of the event,
  • a negative PCR test, taken no earlier than 72 hours prior to the start of the event, or
  • a negative antigen test (at home tests will not be accepted), taken no earlier than 24 hours prior to the start of the event.
Given the different vaccination/booster rollout dates for various age groups, below is a breakdown of attendee requirements based on the spectator's age:

If you are younger than 5 years of age, then you can attend with parent/guardian verification.

If you are 5-11 years of age, you need proof of one of the following:
  • That you are within two months of having completed the primary series of the J&J vaccine,
  • Are within five months of having completed the primary series of the mRNA Pfizer or Moderna vaccine,
  • Have had a COVID-19 infection within 90 days of the event,
  • Have had a negative antigen test within 24 hours (at home tests will not be accepted) of the event, or
  • Have had a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the event.
If you are 12 years of age or older, you need proof stating one of the following:
  • You have received a booster vaccine,
  • Are within two months of having completed the primary series of the J&J vaccine,
  • Are within five months of having completed the primary series of the mRNA Pfizer or Moderna vaccine,
  • Have had a COVID-19 infection within 90 days of the event,
  • Have had a negative antigen test within 24 hours of the event (at home tests will not be accepted), or
  • Have had a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the event.
Masks are required in all indoor spaces for all spectators regardless of vaccination status. Suspension of concessions will continue until further notice.

There are currently no restrictions on attendance at outdoor athletics events.
