Colgate is thrilled to welcome spectators at our contests for the 2021-22 academic year. The following guidelines have been established to best support the health and wellbeing of our students and the local community. We thank you for your help as we all work together to enjoy an exciting year of Raider Athletics events.
|
For all guests to campus for all athletic events:
-
COVID-19 variants remain a persistent threat to individuals' health, and available vaccines show significant protection against these variants. It therefore remains important to vaccinate to protect yourself and our community. We expect all guests to be fully vaccinated prior to coming to campus, barring religious or medical exemption.
-
All individuals, regardless of vaccination status must wear a face covering indoors.
-
All unvaccinated individuals are expected to wear a face covering on campus while indoors and in any outdoor setting where physical distancing cannot be maintained. Refer to colgate.edu/colgatetogether for current campus guidance for face coverings.
-
Guests who are ill (including but not limited to symptoms commonly associated with COVID-19 and other communicable diseases), regardless of vaccination status, must cancel their visit to campus.

For outdoor athletic event venues:
There is no documentation required for entry, however, we encourage all attendees to stay physically distanced from other attendees as much as possible.
Masking Guidelines: Masking is strongly recommended for vaccinated attendees except when seated and physically distanced. Masking is expected for unvaccinated attendees except when seated and physically distanced.

For indoor athletic events at Cotterell Court, Lineberry Natatorium, and the Class of 1965 Arena:
Masking Guidelines: Masking is expected at all times for all attendees.

Upon arrival at the door to the indoor venue, you will be asked to present photo identification and proof of documentation that indicates full vaccination such as:
New York State's Excelsior pass
CDC's Vaccination Card, with both shots completed and verified (photo of card is acceptable).
Members of the Colgate community — students, staff, and faculty — can produce their valid 'gate card.
Unvaccinated guests may also produce:
-
a positive COVID-19 test, dated between 14 and 90 days prior to the start of the event,
-
a negative PCR test, taken no earlier than 72 hours prior to the start of the event, or
-
a negative antigen test, taken no earlier than 24 hours prior to the start of the event.
Important: Attendees two years of age or older from outside the campus community who are ineligible for vaccination due to age are asked to wear face coverings at all times.
Physically distanced seating sections will be provided and marked at all indoor venues.
