BALTIMORE, MD.— The Colgate swimming and diving team had a strong showing of racing and diving when they faced off against Loyola on Saturday afternoon.
Women
Emma Senglaub had a stellar meet taking first in the 200 yard butterfly (2:10.39) and second in the 100 yard butterfly with a season-best time (59.72).
Freshman
Nora Bergstrom won the 500 yard Freestyle (5:11.38), followed by teammate
Maggie DeLillo who took third (5:31.53).
Additionally,
Danielle McNerney took first in the 200 yard backstroke (2:12.74) and
Dana Witte also had a top finish in the 200 yard freestyle (1:58.59), while captain
Katie Hand took third in the event with a 2:01.44.
Zoe Stokes won the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:54.79) followed shortly after by her teammate,
Katie Senglaub who took second at 11:03.76.
Men
Peyton Wray took second in the 1,000 yard freestyle with a season-best time of 10:04.34.
Justin Song (1:57.92) and
Ryan Blumenfeld (1:58.25) took second and third in the 200 yard butterfly, while
Emmet Santry took second in the 200 yard backstroke (2:00.16).
Leading Colgate's divers was
Lucas Austin who scored 160.80 on 1 meter while competing two new dives.
