The Colgate Men's & Women's Swim & Dive teams continued competition on Friday in Morgantown, W.V. at the West Virginia Invitational.
The Raiders picked up right where they left off on Thursday and had even more career best times, including two record-breaking performances.
Both record-breaking performances came from the men's first-year relay teams. The relay team composed of
Emmet Santry,
Morgan Cecil,
Ryan Blumenfeld and
Cooper Luedde broke the first-year record for the 200 Yard Medley Relay, finishing with a time of 1:37.40. The Men's 800 Yard Freestyle relay also broke the first-year record. This relay team composed of
Emmet Santry,
Peyton Wray,
Cooper Luedde and
Ryan Blumenfeld finished in 7:02.33.
The Career best times for the men came from
Morgan Cecil &
Noah Zeigler in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with times of 1:01.64 and 1:00.45 respectively. Another career best time came from
Luke Morneault in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 57.41.
Justin Song had a career best time in the prelims of the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 51.72.
The women had four swimmers also finish with career best times.
Mae Causey had a career best in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:59.65.
Danielle McNerney posted a time of 58.91 in the 100 Yard Backstroke and
Emma Senglaub finished the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 57.38, both of which were career best times. Adding another career best finish is
Stephanie Bishop in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. She finished with a time of 1:12.05, six seconds faster than her previous best time.
Saturday is the Colgate's final day at the West Virginia Invitational. Competition will begin at 10 a.m.
