LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior
Tina Bowers (West Reading, Pennsylvania) shattered her own program record in the 3,000-Meter Steeplechase as the Colgate men's and women's track and field program wrapped up competition at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell.
Bowers now owns the top three times for Colgate women's track and field all-time in the event, besting her previous record by more the 10 seconds with her Saturday time of 11:17.23.
Jonathan Abbott (Manlius, New York) also had a great weekend at the Bison Outdoor Classic as he finished the unseeded 1,500-Meter Race in third place to set a personal record in one of his best performances of the season.
A total of five student-athletes from Colgate competed at the Bison Outdoor Classic this weekend.

-Bowers shattered her own school record in the 3,000-Meter Steeplechase as she finished 10th with a time of 11:17.23
-Her previous record, which she broke at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational, was 11:27.27
-Abbott finished third for the Raiders in the unseeded 1,500-Meter Run with a personal-record time of 3:56.71

Watson Hanson (Radnor, Pennsylvania) finished the 3,000-Meter Steeplechase with a time of 9:41.35 in 26th place

Colin Loughlin (Hingham, Massachusetts) recorded a time of 1:57.12 in the 800-Meter Race and
Luke Myers (Mohnton, Pennsylvania) recorded an outdoor personal record time of 1:58.17

The men's and women's track and field teams have a quick turnaround Tuesday as the Raiders travel to Clinton, New York, for the Hamilton Mid-Week Invitational hosted by Hamilton College.
