HAMILTON – Colgate Athletic Communications announced Monday the department additions of
Chelsea Vielhauer and
Kevin Noonan.
Vielhauer joins the Raiders as the associate director, while Noonan takes on the assistant director position. The new employees begin work at Colgate this week.

John Painter, Colgate Director of Athletic Communications. "Both of them are rising stars in our profession, and they each made terrific impressions during the hiring process.
"They come from first-class athletic communications offices in the Patriot League and ECAC Hockey. I appreciate that because we know we are getting a quality pair of individuals, and they already have a familiarity with Colgate. They can't wait to get started working with the Raiders."
On Board from Lehigh, Quinnipiac
Vielhauer arrives from fellow Patriot League member Lehigh, where she spent the last three years as assistant director of sports communications. She was the primary contact for women's basketball, baseball, men's soccer, volleyball and tennis.
The 2013 Penn State graduate and Ambler, Pennsylvania, native spent two years with the Nittany Lions' athletic communications department, working as the primary contact for the nationally ranked fencing team. She also completed internships with both the Philadelphia Eagles and the State College Spikes. The Spikes were the Class A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates and now are a farm team of the St. Louis Cardinals.
"I'm so excited to join the Colgate Athletics Department," Vielhauer said. "I couldn't be more grateful for my time at Lehigh that helped jumpstart my career and taught me so many valuable skills. I look forward to using my previous experiences in the Patriot League as a starting point for continued growth and development as a Colgate Raider."
Noonan joins the Raiders from Quinnipiac, where he served as a graduate assistant and was the primary contact for women's hockey, baseball and tennis. In addition to his championship experience with women's hockey, Noonan also was the secondary contact for men's hockey during its run to the ECAC Hockey title and NCAA Frozen Four.
The North Stonington, Connecticut, resident earned his undergraduate degree from Quinnipiac in 2014, and his MBA also from Quinnipiac this past spring. As a student, Noonan served as chairman of the Quinnipiac Bobcat Sports Network during the 2013-14 school year. He oversaw the entire 30-member staff while hosting radio and TV shows and providing play-by-play and color commentary for 13 Quinnipiac sports.
