Raiders Battle Bison Sunday at Lineberry

Sagasta and Silverman Win Two Races Each to Lead Women; Hacker and Brekke Victorious to Pace Men

HAMILTON – Colgate Swimming and Diving hosted Patriot League rival Bucknell in a dual meet Sunday at Lineberry Natatorium.

Lindsey Sagasta and Erica Silverman won two races each to lead the Colgate women while Andrew Hacker and Anders Brekke picked up individual wins to pace the Raider men.

Won-Lost Records
- Bucknell saw both of its teams improve to 3-4 on the season with the sweep.
- Colgate moved to 5-3 (women) and 3-6 (men) on the season after Sunday's dual meet.

Women's Highlights
- Sagasta was victorious in both of her individual races, taking the top spot in the 100 (52.41) and 200 free (1:53.99) competitions. Megan Gallagher gave the Raiders a 1-3 finish in the 200 free, placing third with a time of 1.56:69.
- Silverman continued her outstanding rookie season, winning the 100 (56.87) and 200 (2:05.84) butterfly races. Maggie Carney took third in the 200 butterfly with a pace of 2:11.45).
- Morgan Cohara and Gallagher led the Raiders to a 1-2 finish in the 500 free. Cohara took first place, touching the wall with a time of 5:05.86 while Gallagher finished a little more than three seconds later to claim second (5:08.90).
- Relay competition saw the Raiders take first in the 400 free relay as the quartet of Sagasta, Fitzgerald, Gallagher and Cohara combined for a time of 3:34.21.
- Colgate also claimed a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay, turning in a time of 1:48.22.
- Cohara also recorded a second-place finish in the 100 back, posting a time of 57.44.
- Cammie Kirby turned in a pair of second-place finishes, posting runner-up results in both the 100 (1:08.25) and 200 (2:25.96) breast competitions.

Men's Highlights
- Hacker placed first in the 100 free, touching the wall with a time of 48.19 to edge Bucknell's Chris Devlin (48.30).
- Hacker also posted a runner-up finish in the 1000 free distance competition, turning in a time of 10:20.58.
- Brekke picked up a victory in the 200 IM, posting a time of 2:03.81. Trey Johnson gave the Raiders a 1-2 finish in the race, taking second with a pace of 2:05.32.
- The pairing of Max Michael, Paul Kersjes, Dominic Wilkins and Hacker took first in the 400 medley relay, combining for a time of 3:20.51.
- The quartet of Des Cairns, Ryan Mathes, Michael and Kersjes placed second in the 200 medley relay, turning in a time of
- Carter Christensen placed second in the 100 free sprint race with a time of 22.07.
- Danny Graham claimed third in the 100 butterfly, turning in a time of 53.93.
