VESTAL, N.Y. – Josie Stockill posted her fourth career double-double but it wasn't enough in a 63-56 setback to Binghamton here Monday.
Colgate rallied from an 11-point second half deficit to take a 55-54 lead on
Katie Curtis' 3-pointer with 1:52 remaining. But Binghamton (3-5) answered on its ensuing possession with two free throws by Imani Watkins, and then Stockill couldn't convert on a hook shot just outside the 1-minute mark.
Watkins scored again on a layup and then converted four free throws in the closing seconds to ice the game. The Bearcats sophomore scored eight of Binghamton's last nine points in the final 1:27 and finished with a game-high 23.
Stockill scored 17 points and added 14 rebounds and six blocked shots. Curtis chipped in a dozen points for a career-high by the junior guard.
The Raiders (1-5) host top-ranked and three-time defending national champion Connecticut this Wednesday in a sold-out game at Cotterell Court. Tipoff is 7 p.m.

How It Happened• Colgate used a 10-0 run capped by Stockill's 3-pointer to go in front 12-5 with 3:13 showing in the first quarter.
• The Raiders grabbed their largest lead of the game at 15-7 on a
Mylah Chandler layup with 1:50 left in the first. Binghamton pulled within 15-10 by the quarter break.
• Binghamton opened the second with a 9-0 run on the strength of three straight 3-pointers from McKayla Hernandez. The Binghamton guard was just 4-of-24 from downtown before Monday's game.
• There were four ties and eight lead changes in the first half.
• The Bearcats outscored Colgate 20-13 in each of the middle two quarters to lead 30-28 at halftime and 50-41 at the end of three.
• Colgate pulled within 52-45 and had three possessions but couldn't convert.
• Curtis reignited the rally by making two free throws with 5:19 remaining to narrow the margin to 52-47.

Paige Kriftcher scored her only basket of the game on a 3-pointer that made it 54-50 with 4:40 showing.
• Stockill's layup narrowed it to two and then Curtis nailed her clutch trey from the top of the key to hand Colgate a 55-54 advantage with 1:52 to play.
• But Watkins was too tough down the stretch, scoring eight of Binghamton's final nine points to seal the win.

• The senior forward took over the team scoring lead with her 17-point night. She also missed her career rebounding high by one, finishing with 14.
• The rest of the Raider scoring went like this: Curtis 12, Etheridge 8, Chandler 6, Butler 4, Pozsonyi 4, Kriftcher 3 and King 2.
• Stockill is now averaging 14.7 points for the season.

• Curtis in her last four games has 19 points and 14 assists. Her shooting chart Monday showed 4-of-6 from the field, 2-of-2 from three and 2-of-2 at the line.
• Stockill blocked six shots and has 27 for the year, a 4.5 average. She's at 163 for her career, just seven shy of tying the Colgate record.
