HAMILTON – The Colgate men's swimming and diving team was back at Lineberry Natatorium and took on Binghamton on Friday.
The Raiders were downed by the Bearcats by a 198-80 score.
Colgate saw three swimmers earn individual victories.
Tavy Smith was the first to swim to a first-place finish, which came in the 100-yard breaststroke. He narrowly beat out teammate Mark Hilton as Smith clocked in at 1:01.31, while Hilton was at 1:01.77.
Des Cairns and
Dominic Wilkins were the other two top finishers. Cairns was first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.34 seconds. He also took second in the 100-yard backstroke at 52.69 seconds. Wilkins got his win in one of the distance events. He swam in the 500-yard freestyle and clocked in at 4:51.65.
Joining Cairns and Hilton as a runner up against the Bearcats was
Andrew Hacker, who took second in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:46.01.
The Raiders are back in the pool tomorrow afternoon in the final home meet of the season against Patriot League rivals Army and Lafayette.
