2011-12 Roster
HAMILTON, N.Y. (9/2/11) – The Colgate women's basketball team will add five newcomers to the 2011-12 roster. The incoming class represents five different states including Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Joining the Raiders this year are
Carole Harris,
Mariah Jones,
Kelly Reid,
Missy Repoli, and Stephanie Schultz.
Harris, a 5-11 forward from Lansing, Mich., was a three-year letterwinner at Waverly High School. As a senior Harris led the Warriors in scoring and served as a co-captain. She also led the team with the highest GPA. As a junior Harris helped lead the Warriors to a CAAC Red Conference Championship and was a member of both the Class A Girls Basketball All-Area Dream Team and the CAAC All-Conference Team. Harris was also named to the Lansing State Journal Girls Basketball 10 More to Remember and Top Players to Watch in 2010-11.
Jones, a 5-4 guard from Silver Spring, Md., was named team captain as a senior at St. John's College High School and averaged 10.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. She scored 887 points while grabbing 301 rebounds and dishing-out 225 assists in her career. During her career she helped lead the team to the 2011 City Title Championship, the Bishop Walsh Invitational Championship, the 2011 WCAC Championship and the 2010 Best of Maryland Championship. She was also named to the 2011 WCAC All-League Second Team and the 2010 WCAC All-League Third Team.
Repoli, a 5-9 guard from Marlboro, N.J., averaged 11.5 points and 3.7 rebounds in her career at St. John Vianney High School. As a senior Repoli averaged 13.0 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, along with an 89.5 free throw percentage. She also served as team captain her senior season and helped lead the team to the N.J. Parochial A State Championship in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. St. John Vianney also won the N.J. Tournament of Champions in 2009 and was the runner-up in 2010. Repoli was named to the All-Shore Conference Third Team in 2008 and 2010, and was a second team selection in 2011.
Reid, a 6-0 forward from Richmond Hill, Ga., was a two-time team captain for Savannah Christian Preparatory School and finished her career with a total of 1,487 points. She averaged 20.1 points and 9.3 rebounds per game as a senior, while she helped lead Savannah Christian Prep to the Region 2AA Championship. Reid was a four-time member of the all-region team and named to the 2010 and 2011 all-state first teams. She was also selected to Georgia High School Coaches Association All-State “North vs. South” All-Star game in 2010.
Schultz, a 6-1 forward/center from Pottstown, Pa., finished her career with a total of 984 points at Pottsgrove High School, before attending The Hill School, where she averaged 16.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. Shultz helped lead Pottsgrove to the 2008-09 PAC-10 Championship and was named to the All-Conference first team and Academic All-Conference team. Schultz also won the Summitt Award for “Best Individual Performance by a Female Athlete” in the 2008-09 season.
The Raiders 2011-12 home opener against Bryant is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. at Cotterell Court.
