HAMILTON, N.Y. (8/17/11) – Head Coach Khaled Sanad and the Colgate men's rowing team are pleased to announce the hiring of Michael Cute as the team's new assistant coach.

Cute joins the men's rowing team with years of experience as a rower. A four-year member of the Marietta College men's rowing team, he was a 2011 Knecht Cup and 2011 SIRA Varsity Lightweight 8+ champion, a 2010 JV Heavyweight 8+ Dad Vail Silver Medalist and a three-time Royal Canadian Henley Regatta finalist to name a few.

Cute was also a three-year member of the Fairmount Rowing Association, was an assistant coach for the Fairmount summer junior competitive team in 2010 and was  a three-year member of the Crescent Boat Club. In addition to his experience as a rower, Cute also has experience organizing the Marietta Rowing Invitational and was a camp counselor at ESF Summer Camps from 2007-2009.

The Pennsylvania native earned his bachelor's degree in broadcasting from Marietta College in May 2011.
