HAMILTON, N.Y. (8/12/11) – The Colgate football team completed its first day in full pads on Friday after spending the last two days wearing upper pads during the first week preseason camp at Andy Kerr Stadium.
The practice began with work on the kicking game, during a nice sunny 75 degree afternoon, before the team did some controlled 11-on-11 work with an assortment of individual and position work.
“This week went very well,” stated senior offensive tackle
Vittorio Ottanelli. “I very happy that we have the entire offensive line back to help build trust and make the new quarterback feel confident in the pocket.”
Quarterbacks
Gavin McCarney and
Josh Hasenberg both took a number of snaps with the first team this week.
Colgate will continue preseason practice on Saturday with its first two-a-day at 8:30 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. The Raiders will also practice on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. before another two-a-day on Monday at Andy Kerr Stadium.
