CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (11/22/11) – Colgate senior linebacker
Chris DiMassa was named to the 2011 All-Patriot League Second Team as both teams and major awards were announced on Tuesday.
The All-Patriot League Team and major awards were voted on by the Patriot League Football head coaches, who could not vote for their own student-athletes or themselves. Fordham's student-athletes were ineligible for the All-Patriot League Team because the school is awarding athletic merit aid.
DiMassa led the Raiders and finished third in the League with 101 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and two interceptions. DiMassa is the first Raider to record a 100 or more tackles in a season since Mike Gillihugh recorded 123 in 2007. DiMassa has earned All-Patriot League honors for the second time in his career as he was named to first team in 2010.
