CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (11/21/11) – Colgate senior Vinnie Nicosia was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week following his performance against Bucknell. Nicosia is the second Raider to win this award this season.

Nicosia played a huge role in giving Colgate its first Patriot League victory of the season by recording seven tackles, a sack and a 79-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 21-6 win over Bucknell on Saturday. The interception return came in the fourth quarter with Colgate clinging to a 14-6 lead. It was the sixth-longest interception return in Colgate history. Nicosia wins the first Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week award of his career.
