HAMILTON, N.Y. (6/3/10) – The Colgate football team has been picked No. 9 in the Lindy's preview magazine preseason FCS poll. This is the first time the Raiders have been ranked in the top-10 of a preseason poll since 2004.

Last season, Colgate (9-2) finished 21st in The Sports Network poll and 20th in the FCS Coaches Poll.

The Raiders return 15 starters from last years squad including two-time all-Patriot League first team tailback Nate Eachus (Drums, Pa.) and 2008 all-Patriot League second team quarterback Greg Sullivan (Monroe, N.Y.). Eachus ranks 17th in the Colgate record books with 1,851 yards rushing, while Sullivan, who is 18-4 as a starter, ranks seventh with 5,333 yards of total offense.

Colgate will kickoff the 2010 season against Monmouth on Saturday, September 4 at Andy Kerr Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
