Men's Swimming and Diving Downed by Bucknell

FINAL RESULTS

LEWISBURG, Pa. (11/13/10) –
The Colgate men's swimming and Diving team had a tough time on Saturday at Bucknell and fell to the Bison by a 160-52 score.

The lone Raider victory came in the 200-yard free relay as sophomore Dan Sweeney (New Canaan, Conn.), junior Teddy Perley (Harrison, N.Y.), junior Costas Hadjipateras (New Canaan, Conn.) and senior captain Tucker Gniewek (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) teamed up to take the top spot with a time of 1:25.36.

Sweeney had one of the best individual finishes of the day with a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.38, which was .30 seconds off the lead. Hadjpateras jumped in with a second-place spot in the 200-yard fly at 1:55.05, while Gniewek also ended up second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.22 seconds.

The men will be back in action on Dec. 2-4, as the Raiders will be traveling to the Kenyon Invite in Gambier, Ohio.
