Patriot League Championship
HAMILTON, N.Y. (11/10/10) – The Colgate men's soccer team will play in the first semifinal game of the 2010 Patriot League Tournament on Friday, Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. on Van Doren Field. As the regular-season champions, the Raiders secured the No. 1 seed and will play No. 4 Bucknell.
Colgate (8-5-5) completed its regular season undefeated in conference play with a record of 5-0-2. Despite having tied with Bucknell and Navy, the team was able to secure a 1-0 win over American last weekend to clinch the regular-season title. Junior

WEEKLY AWARD WINNERS

Chris Miller (Dallas, Texas) were named the BRINE Offensive Player of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week by the Patriot League on Monday (Oct. 8). This was Chris' second consecutive week winning the award. Sophomore defender
Wade Martin (St. Louis, Mo.) also
received an honorable mention from the league for his performance.
ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE AWARDS

Erik Ronning were named the Patriot League Goalkeeper and Coach of the Year on Tuesday (Nov. 9). In addition to the two major awards, the team also had five first team and two second team all-league selections.

Matt Schuber (Webster, N.Y.) were named to the first team while Steven and sophomore

Steven leads the team in points with 12 off a team-high five goals and two assists. He is followed by Schuber who has 10 points with four goals and two assists and by
Mike Reidy (Webster, N.Y.) who has three goals and two assists for eight points.
REGIONAL POWERHOUSE
The Raiders have been ranked in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Mid-Atlantic Region poll all season, reaching the No. 1 spot for two consecutive weeks on Sept. 28 and Oct. 5. Since then the team has held the No. 2 spot under No.1 Charlotte.
LAST MEETING
Colgate and Bucknell last met on Oct. 23 when the Raiders traveled to Lewisburg, Pa. Despite holding an early lead in the first half and a 3-1 lead in the last five minutes of play, Colgate gave up two late goals in the 86th minute, resulting in the Raiders' fourth overtime tie of the season.
SCOUTING BUCKNELL
The Bison (8-8-2, 3-2-2 PL) are coming off a 2-1 overtime win over Lehigh that helped propel them into the tournament, clinching the fourth spot over Lafayette.
The team is led by the league's Offensive Player of the Year, sophomore Brendan Burgdorf, and senior Tommy McCabe who both have a team-high and a league-high 14 points each. Burgdorf, who has six goals and two assists, is tied at first in the league in goals, and is also tied at second in points per game (0.82). McCabe, a second team selection, has three goals and eight assists, and leads the league in points per game (0.88), assists and assists per game (0.50). The team also has the league's Rookie of the Year, Mayowa Alli, who scored two of Bucknell's goals against Colgate.
