LEWISBURG, PA.  – Trina Boyer scored twice, including the game-winner with 1:17 left in the contest as Bucknell defeated Colgate 4-3 in a Patriot League field hockey match-up, Saturday afternoon.

 

Down 2-0 at intermission, the Raiders, who slipped to 9-7 overall and 2-2 in league standings, roared back to knot the game at 2-2.  Laura Denenga (Harare, Zimbabwe) took a pass from Lauren Carey (Medfield, Mass.) and slipped it into the cage at 51:31.  Not too long after the sophomore got Colgate on the board, Katelyn Nerbonne (Bow, N.H.) connected for her fourth of the season, an unassisted goal at 52:46.

 

After the Bison took the lead at 65:25 on a goal by Boyer, the Raiders capitalized on a penalty corner as Carey belted in her 11^th of the campaign from Maddie Watrobski (Penfield, N.Y.) and Mika Ella-Tang (Port of Spain, Trinidad) at 66:34.

 

Sarah Pedersen (State College, Pa.) made five saves in the loss for Colgate.

 

The Raiders will finish the regular-season next Saturday afternoon at Lafayette.
