Men's Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw with Holy Cross

Junior David Cappuccio made six saves in his 12th career shutout.
 
WORCESTER, Mass. (9/29/07) – The Colgate University men’s soccer team opened its Patriot League season with a 0-0 double overtime tie with Holy Cross on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Smith Soccer Stadium.
 
It was fitting, as both teams are currently ranked No. 8 in the NSCAA/adidas Mid-Atlantic Regional Poll.
 
Colgate junior goalkeeper David Cappuccio (Pittsford, N.Y.) made six saves in his 12th career shutout. Holy Cross’ Thomas Booth made four stops.
 
The Crusaders had a slight 12-9 advantage in shots, and took five corners to the Raiders’ four.
 
Colgate (4-3-2) hosts Army during Homecoming Weekend, on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
