Eight Raiders Named to ECACHL Men's All-Academic Team

All-ECACHL forward Jesse Winchester earned a spot on the league's all-academic team for the second straight year.
ALBANY, N.Y. (3/29/07) - Eight members of the Colgate University men's hockey team were named to the 2007 ECACHL all-academic team, which was announced on Thursday, Mar. 29. In all 147 student-athletes from the league's 12 member schools earned the honor.

Juniors Ben Camper (Rocky River, Ohio), Mark Dekanich (North Vancouver, B.C.), Mike Werner (Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont.), and Jesse Winchester (Long Sault, Ont.) are all making their second straight appearances on the team. Sophomores Mark Anderson (Hastings, Neb.), Peter Bogdanich (Burnaby, B.C.), Jason Fredricks (Eagle River, Wis.), and David Sloane (Ambler, Pa.) all earned the honor for the first time this season; freshmen were ineligible for the team last year.

Student-athletes are eligible for the all-academic team if they have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, or if they have an average GPA of at least 3.00 over the last three semesters.
