Colgate’s scoring woes continued in the second half as the Bison defense continued to shut down the Raiders’ offense.
After Bucknell ahead by 11 to start the half, Colgate chipped away at the Bison lead. The Raiders used a 10-2 run over the next four minutes to make it at three-point game at the 14:57 mark. That’s where the scoring hit a wall for Colgate as Bucknell went on a 14-3 run over a 10-minute span to go ahead 45-31 with 3:28 left on the clock. The Bison held the Raiders without a field goal for nine minutes of that stretch.
Bucknell continued to pull away stretching the lead to 14 points down the stretch and cruised to the 14-point victory. Colgate shot 26.7 percent for the game and did not hit any three-points. The Bison were 47.2 percent from the floor for the contest.
