NEW HAVEN, Conn. (9/8/06) – The Colgate University men’s soccer team played to scoreless tie with Dartmouth on Friday, Sept. 8 at the Yale Soccer Tournament.
The Raiders’ defense did not allow the No. 7 regionally-ranked Big Green to get a shot on goal throughout the 110 minutes. Colgate, ranked No. 6 regionally, has not allowed a goal since the Patriot League semifinal on Nov. 11, 2005.
The Raiders’ best chance of the game came off a corner kick, while the Big Green had a few looks but couldn’t put anything on net, as they held the slight advantage in shots, 13-11.

David Cappuccio (Pittsford, N.Y.) earned his third shutout of the season. Rowan Anders made four saves for Dartmouth.
Colgate is now 2-0-2 on the season, while Dartmouth is 1-0-2.
The Raiders will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 10 when they take on the Bulldogs of Yale at 2:30 p.m. Yale is set to play George Mason at 7:30 tonight.
