BOSTON (12/6/2006)—Colgate University men’s lacrosse player
Robert Trasolini (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) was drafted 91st in the 2007 Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft on Dec. 5, 2006. Trasolini, a 2006 graduate, was picked by the Chicago Machine of the Western Conference.
Major League Lacrosse (MLL) is the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league in the United States. It features 10 teams spanning from New Jersey to Los Angeles.
Trasolini was a 2006 all-Patriot League first-team selection after leading all Raider midfielders with 23 goals and four assists for 27 points. Third overall on the team in scoring, the senior captain scored a career-high four goals against St. Joseph’s and tallied at least one point in 13 consecutive games.
Trasolini earned his first Patriot League Player of the Week honor of the season after registering a hat trick, which included a man-up, man-down, and even strength goal, against Bucknell to clinch the Raiders’ first Patriot League regular season title. The New Hyde Park Memorial product ranks eighth on the Colgate career goals list with 63 scores in his four seasons.
The Chicago Machine is in its second year of competition and recently named Syracuse lacrosse’s Director Team Operations, Lelan Rogers as its head coach. The Machine drafted 11 players in the supplemental draft
