ROCHESTER, N.Y. (10/9/06) – The Colgate University men’s crew team competed at the Head of the Genesee on Sunday, Oct. 8, in the first race of the fall season.

 

The Raiders placed fifth in the Open Fours with a time of 32:25.87.  Brown’s A boat took top honors, crossing the line at 31:05.21, just seconds ahead of Brock A.  Brown’s B boat came in at 31:31.75, ahead of Buffalo A, which edged Colgate with a time of 32:02.75.

 

Elisabeth Murphy (cox), Mark Robson, Matt Green, Oliver Jensen and Antonio Perez made up the Open Four boat.

 

The varsity eight boat finished 17th in the morning heat.  The Raiders did not compete in the afternoon race due to the poor time.

 

The Raiders will race at the prestigious Head of the Charles on Oct. 21-22 in Boston.
