Colgate and Navy Play to Scoreless Tie in Men's Soccer

Goalkeeper David Cappuccio extended his shutout streak to over 725 minutes.
 
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (10/7/06) – The Colgate University men’s soccer team played to a 0-0 scoreless tie with Navy in a Patriot League contest on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Glenn Warner Facility.
 
The Midshipmen had a slight advantage in shots, leading 15-3.  The Raiders had a 4-3 advantage in overtime shots and also led in corner kicks in the game, 5-2.
 
David Cappuccio (Pittsford, N.Y.) made one save to extend his shutout streak to over 725 minutes, with six shutouts this season leading to a 3-0-3 record.
 
Evan Barnes made three stops in net for the Midshipmen, who move to 4-5-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the Patriot League.
 
Colgate, now 6-1-4 on the season with a 2-0-2 Patriot League record, begin a three-game homestand on Saturday, Oct. 14.  The Raiders host league foe American at 7 p.m.
