Geva Competes for U.S. at Maccabiah Games in Swimming

The incoming Raider freshman finished seventh in two events and eighth in another.

HAMILTON, N.Y. (7/25/05) - Colgate University incoming freshman Omri Geva (Newton, Mass.) competed for the U.S. at the 17th Maccabiah Games in Israel this month.

Geva finished seventh in both the 200-meter breaststroke (2:49.65) and 100-meter backstroke (1:11.94). He came in eighth in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:16.66.

The Maccabiah Games are open to Jewish athletes from around the world. They have been held in Israel every four years since 1932. For more information on the Maccabiah Games, visit their website at www.maccabiah17.com.
