Paiano Named ECACHL Player of the Week

Allison Paiano tallied a career-high six points on Friday night to earn ECACHL Player of the Week.
ALBANY, N.Y. (11/14/05) – Senior left wing Allison Paiano (Orleans, Ont.) has been named the ECAC Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending November 13, it was announced by the league office today.

Paiano tallied a career-high six points on two goals and four assists to lead Colgate to 9-0 shutout over Robert Morris on Friday night.

Against the Colonials, Paiano tallied the Raider's second goal on the man-advantage in the first period. She scored the fifth goal at 5:51 of the second and assisted on all three Colgate goals in the second stanza as well as the final goal of the night at 15:10 of the third.

Paiano currently is in a tie for first place in the scoring leaderboard with five goals and six assists for 11 points.  She is tied for second in the league in scoring, and is 22nd in the nation in the same category.

She is just nine points away from reaching the 100-point marker to join just two other former Colgate women's hockey players in the century club.

Teammate Sam Hunt earned ECACHL Honorable Mention for chipping in two goals and three assists in the same contest.

The women's hockey team will host a two-game series with College Hockey America member Niagara University on Saturday and Sunday, November 19 & 20.  Saturday's game will be at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday's at 3 p.m.
