Colgate Ends Fall Season With Third Place Finish at Binghamton's B.C. Open

Senior Jesse Smith tied for fourth with a combined score of 150.

ENDICOTT, N.Y.--The Colgate University golf team concluded its strong fall season Sunday as the Raiders took third out of 11 teams at the Binghamton B.C. Open with a combined score of 617.

St. Bonaventure took top team honors with a combined score of 599. Binghamton was second with a 607 while Siena finished fourth with a 619 and Fordham came in fifth with a 627. Ottawa and Hofstra tied for sixth with 634s while Saint Rose was eighth with a 644. Lafayette (646) and Niagara rounded out the field (647).

Individually, Jay Lindell of St. Bonaventure took medalist honors as he shot a combined score of 144.

Senior Jesse Smith (Barrington, N.H.), tied for fourth with a 150. He led the field on Saturday with a round of 70.  Freshman Charlie Sahlman (Weston, Mass.) tied for 10th with a 152. Junior Sean Cusick (Westwood, Mass.) tied for 23rd with a 156 while senior Andrew Calcutt (Traverse City, Mich.) tied for 30th with a 159. Sophomore Ben Selberg (Englewood, Colo.) tied for 53rd with a 169.
